Why The Revolution?

“The worst thing you can do is nothing.” –Temple Grandin, responding on how parents must move into high gear when a child receives an autism diagnosis.

The Thinking Moms’ Revolution is doing so much more than nothing.

We are not sitting down waiting for help to show up.

We are not standing around wishing our kids’ development could magically catch up.

We are not taking a chance on “she’ll outgrow it” or “he’s a boy, they develop slower” or “let’s just take a wait and see approach.”

We are not willing to let someone else dictate or refute our dreams of a better life or better health for our children.

Nope, we’re not doing it like that.

We’re standing up for our kids. We’re doing this at the doctor’s offices, in our children’s schools and in our own communities. We’re standing together because it’s easier to work with someone else who believes.

Healing is goal worthy of fighting.  Recovery is possible.  Dreams will come true.

Stick around.  You too might be moved into high gear, because the worst thing you can do for your child is nothing.
