The Big Autism Cover-Up: Review and Giveaway

lonestarEach day, across the globe, people are bombarded with statistics and quotes about the etiology of autism, and each day, tireless advocate Anne Dachel tracks and disseminates this information. Her blogs are extremely popular in our community, and her ability to examine the minutae of media content is beyond compare.

Dachel recently released her book, The Big Autism Cover-Up, in which she invites the reader on a journey into the deep pits of propaganda, leaving no stone unturned in uncovering the hypocrisy and ignorance which surrounds most mainstream media reports on vaccine safety and the link to autism.

Organized by major events in the world of the vaccine-autism connection, she painstakingly details the media’s response to each, arguing that this has deliberately shaped how the public views public health issues as well as what they perceive to be the causes behind the astronomical rise in autism rates.

big autism cover-upIn this community, we have experienced multiple moments when information was released that we would consider “slam dunks.” Parents of vaccine-injured children watched with anticipation while Mary Holland, Louis Conte, Robert Krakow, and Lisa Colin presented the findings of their review of compensated brain-injury cases from the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, expecting that to be a significant tipping point in the court of public opinion. Many reasoned that if the government had rewarded financial settlements to at least 83 children with vaccine-induced autism and probably many more, surely Americans would be shocked and outraged. Similar events, from Jenny McCarthy’s appearance on “Larry King Live” alongside board-certified physicians Jerry Kartzinel and Jay Gordon to the leaking of sealed records detailing the outcome of Hannah Poling’s successful complaint in the VICP to the release of David Kirby’s Evidence of Harm, were perceived the same way in our community. Dachel describes these and other potential “a-ha” events, each of which had the power to dramatically alter the landscape of the vaccine safety debate. Instead, Dachel proves, these key moments landed on deaf ears due to the amount of noise created by medical “experts” and new correspondents to intentionally downplay and dismiss their significance.

The public is being fed a series of lies and they are eating them up. With blind faith in government officials and supposedly independent journalists, Americans are seldom inclined to question what is being taken for granted as absolute and irrefutable. The truth is hard to find without dedication and an open mind. And often this type of scrutiny is only prompted after a loved one suffers a noticeable regression or other severe adverse reaction after vaccination. The journey of discovery can be uncomfortable, shocking, and painful; learning that everything you once believed to be true – that doctors would never harm, that our government has its citizens’ best interests at heart, that vaccines are 100% safe and effective, and that we need more vaccines given earlier in life in order to combat crippling and fatal diseases – is like losing your religion.

As a community that has witnessed vaccine damage and bothers to acknowledge the biological plausibility of the contribution of vaccines to chronic childhood afflictions like allergies, learning disabilities, bowel disease, autoimmunity, autism and even cancer, we must push the majority to this place of discomfort. It is our duty to follow in Dachel’s footsteps and awaken the sleeping giant, as it were. We owe it to the 1 in 50 children with autism to change the misconception that our children are just blessed recipients of better diagnosing and to, once and for all, get our neighbors to reject the willful ignorance and laziness with which our government responds to a true public health emergency. It is unacceptable to regard an epidemic that affects over a million children as merely a “challenge” and to approach research into the environmental triggers with resistance. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GENETIC EPIDEMIC. Social workers and medical professionals at the local level have sounded an alarm, pleading for more resources and funding as severely affected children inch toward adulthood, causing a crisis in services for which the government and healthcare establishment is underfunded and ill-equipped. If this was simply a matter of improved diagnostic recognition (despite repeated changes to the DSM criteria), we would not be experiencing such a dilemma – adult autism would already be addressed, services already in place.

Unfortunately, this is not the side of autism we see when we switch on the evening news. Rather, we see the Eiffel Tower lighting it up blue and federal agency figureheads reassuring us that the numbers are not concerning and the science is both consistent and clear.

As a society, we are instructed to accept and participate in walks in awareness of autism. But awareness of its underlying medical basis, its threat to life and well-being, its preventable nature, and, ultimately, its cause is sorely lacking. Balanced media coverage is nearly non-existent and that trend continues. In response to the media’s fearful representation of the Disneyland measles outbreak, parents who simply question vaccines, even those who quote the CDC’s own statistics and information readily available from its website, aren’t labeled “educated” or “concerned” or “pro-safety.” Instead, they are accused of being “misinformed,” “anti-science” and “anti-vaccine.” Our government officials continue this marginalization of critically thinking parents and dehumanization of victims of vaccine injury by holding hearings during which senators wrongfully blame parents who exercise their right to choice, failing to acknowledge the risks of vaccines or their failure to provide long-term protection.

With a CDC goose laying the golden egg for our community in August 2014, we mustn’t lose momentum. The admissions of Dr. William Thompson (commonly referred to as the “CDC whistleblower”) have the power to knock over the house of cards built by vaccine profiteers like Paul Offit and bolstered by the media. The Big Autism Cover-Up sets off an alarm bell which we cannot possibly ignore. Dachel’s dedication to exposing the deliberate media suppression of truth underscores our responsibility to be the voice of reason. Do not let the reality of CDC fraud become another victim of the big cover-up.  Like significant events, the revelations of Dr. Thompson can be a tipping point toward battling misconceptions and uncovering the truth, toppling a culture of corruption and widespread harm.

I bought this book and can’t put it down. It is a page TURNER! I have been weeping salty tears over the truth of our medical community and government. It’s all there for us to “read it and weep.” Now what will we do? I hope to see you all at the Autism One conference in May in my hometown Chicago!

  2. Hans Scholl says:

Naisa Nivek , seriously are you joking me ? seriously . You need to re-educate yourself because you are currently nowhere .

How about William Thompson , cdc whistelblower who has admitted concealing evidence the cdc has known vaccines cause autism since 2003 .

How about all the quotes from SimpsonWood 2001 ?
How about Bernadine Healey , first female head of the NIH ?
How about Russell Blaylock ? no one could take him on
How about Professor Boyd Hayley ? no one could take him on
How about themiserol being toxic at nano-grams , known since 1948 , Frank Engley ?
How about two Italian court decicions ?
How about all the US secret payouts that vaccines cause autism ? up to 1000 Id say
How about Gerberdings (former head of CDC & now head of Mercks vaccine division) own admission on CNN that vaccines can cause autism like condition ?
Verstraeten ran for the hills because he knew it .
Even Donald Trump knows it .

The evidence against vaccines , and the carnage they have caused is overwhelming & undeniable , but I’m sure you’ll try (pathetically).

Listen to the godfather of all things vaccine , Maurice Hilleman admit what a total failure they are , “bargain basement” healthcare , contaminated with cancer causing viruses SV40 , given to 100M+ americans (admitted on the CDC’s own website) .

Vaccines are Hg-enocide , and you are welcome to your fill of them .

  3. Twyla says:

I am really looking forward to reading this book.

  4. Tamara Graham says:

The ability to tell the truth in todays wired society gets harder and harder due to social media bots, comment board trolls, astro turfing and a corporate media owned by a select few powerful individuals who profit from harming our children thru vaccines. Harder, but not impossible if you take the time to seek the truth and muster the courage to fight the herd mentality and their naive blind acceptance which leads to dangerous greater good measures which perpetuate lies and harm. Thank you for sowing us this in your book Anne Dachel.

  5. Nora says:

Thank goodness there’s someone smart and brave enough to rattle the cage !
We need to wake up !!

  6. Kate says:

TMR, I’ve been reading your blog for a few weeks now and I love it. You are doing such great work. Thank you for the opportunity to win a copy of this book…whether I receive it or not, I will read it as soon as possible. Can’t wait.

  7. Deirdre jones says:

Can’t wait to read this, sounds like a great book!!

  8. Mark says:

Will definitely read this. Keep spreading the word… lots of ignorance out there.

  9. Candi Calderone says:

Can’t wait to read this book. I “lost my religion” in 2007 – it was like a death to realize that so much of what I believed in was just plain wrong. But 8 years later I can say with certainty that it has changed me for the better. I no longer see things as black and white – I search out the grey! Because the answers are always in the grey…thank you Ann Dachel for your tireless dedication.

  10. Vince says:

IMHO, when in doubt you can usually find answers in three words: Follow. The. Money.

Being “anti-science” is not questioning the existing beliefs when they don’t match the facts on the ground. Being “anti-science” is to shout down dissenters of the conventional wisdom regardless of the data they provide.

To question, to seek out, to find answers no matter how uncomfortable, to be open to changing your mind when you learn more – THAT’S science.

  11. elaine wallace says:

Would love to read this book, truth is in short supply in all areas of today’s living and it takes courage and tenacity to break down the barriers to awakening people to the lies we are being fed. Lets use it to identify exactly why people just are unaccepting that it is they themselves who ultimately allow lies to thrive by their dulled down and accepting attitudes of those in authority we allow to tell us what’s acceptable and what isn’t. We are the answer, and we are the solution if only we wake up and see what’s staring us in the face. Take control over our own lives and expose those who are lying to us.

  12. Art says:

    Everyone, please watch and share!

    Also, thank you, Anne! 😀

  13. Cheryl says:

Over many years of working in education, the rise in the number of children with autism and other symptoms was astonishing. I look forward to reading this book and sharing it with others in my family and community.

  14. Noel Britton says:

I’ve felt so alone for so long. Most of my friends and acquaintances believe unquestioningly in the benevolence of science and medicine. I’ve read every book I can get my hands on looking for answers to vaccine safety and efficacy. I truly don’t understand why everyone is so unwilling to question at the very least. My beliefs have been ridiculed and made fun of by people who are completely mis or uninformed. I just keep reading and hoping someday everyone wakes up. Whether I receive the book by leaving a comment or not I look forward to reading it.

  15. Valerie Brinks says:

Looking forward to reading her book…and getting it into the hands of friends and family that have been so hard to educate..

Would love to read for myself, my son and then possibly review it for my Book Blog and freelance work like I did for “The Thinking Mother’s Revolution”. 😉

  17. Brett Wilcox says:

My primary focus is GMOs. Not surprising to see that fraud and deception are the common foundation upon which GMOs and vaccine “science” are built.

  18. Holly says:

I always read her blog entries, so I am looking forward to winning this book. Nice review.

  19. Jeanette Klein says:

I would love to see this book be required reading for every pediatrician in the United States. As a bonus maybe it could be make it’s way on to recommended reading lists for new parents. These two thinks combined would save a lot of heartbreak.

The truth always come out in the end. I only hope I get to see it in my lifetime. God bless, Anne.

  22. Lone Star says:

    Good luck everyone!

  23. Thank you so much for writing this book. I look forward to hopefully reading it. I love it when there are great resources that are full of facts and science. Anyone that actually does the research, cannot deny what happened to our kids. I watched my child change within 15 minutes of her vaccines. So for us, there was never any doubt. We’ve spent the past 4 years trying to recover what she lost in that one day. We have made tremendous progress, but we still have a long road ahead of us. God Bless you for continue to speak the truth.

  24. staci says:

How do we get this book into the hands of every law maker I the country?

  28. Ann says:

Thank you for all you do! I would love to read this as well.

  29. Ray Antoky says:

  35. Shelley west says:

Would love to win a copy. I feel like I’m on the front lines of this revolution and live having ammunition to back up my arguments.

  36. Melisa McNabb says:

Can’t wait to read! Thank you!

  37. Laurie Odonnell says:

i would like to get a copy of this book to share with friends and relatives to help stop more kids from being on the Autistim Spectrum like mine. Thanks for gathering this information.

  38. Gladys says:

You clearly said it how it is! I still get frustrated when I come across people that are so brained washed by the media and let’s not said the medical field.

  39. Naisa Nivek says:

Mr “ProfessorTMR”, what profession do you possess allows you to repel people away from vaccines?

    • ProfessorTMR says:

Why should you assume on a website named “Thinking Moms’ Revolution” that I am a “Mr.”? Always fascinating to me when people do that. Everyone in TMR has a nickname, most of which were chosen by Tex, that conveys a strong facet of their personality. Mine is “Professor” because of my strong science and analysis background. I went to the number one college in the country according to Forbes magazine, attended on a prestigious scholarship, graduated with a degree in Physics in three years, took organic chemistry and the astronomy senior seminar “for fun,” took the GRE and got 800s on both the math and logic sections (those are perfect scores, by the way), went on to become an electrical engineer and computer programmer. All of which clearly qualifies me to THINK. I don’t “repel people away from vaccines,” I tell them what I think about them based upon 15 years of research on them, and I urge them to do the research for themselves and decide what they think is right for their families rather than assuming that the pharma-influenced CDC got it right.

  40. Amanda Thiessen says:

Would love a chance to win this great book!!

  41. Naisa Nivek says:

It’s funny how you choose to believe a former Playboy model and an old quack instead of 99% of the medical and scientific community.

    • ProfessorTMR says:

You know what’s funny? The fact that you believe that anyone is basing their opinion on vaccines on the testimony of one “former Playboy model” or a paper written by 12 of the most respected gastroenterologists, including one “old quack,” in Britain on 12 children with autism and gastrointestinal disease. Would YOU have the guts to buck the system that is obviously capable of flat-out bullying in order to get people to conform without doing a great deal of research? If so, you would be very unusual. The people who do not vaccinate have done a great deal of soul searching and medical investigation in order to feel comfortable bucking a deeply ingrained systemic attitude.

  42. Chelsea says:

I would be blessed to win this! Thank you for writing this book.

  43. Jill says:

    Love the Thinking Mom’s Revolution!

  44. Jenny says:

This is what if like to say to all those blissfully ignorant doubters. Weist keep fighting for the truth One person at a time! Thanks for your great work, you have a new fan!

  45. Susan Walterich says:

Would love to read! And then make everyone else read!

  46. Tasha says:

Thank you so much for this summary (and an AWESOME giveaway!) I can’t wait to get my hands on this book in the future.

  47. HD says:

Anne is like the energizer bunny – she never stops writing about her passion – the big cover up of autism and vaccines. She’s been reading/researching for over a decade now, probably closer to two. I would love to read her book.

  48. Lisa Kelly says:

I sure would like to win a copy of The Big Autism Cover Up!:) I have been following Anne Dachel’s blogs for years and have gained great knowledge. Would love to read more and have as a resource to share with other parents and professionals.

  49. Jan R says:

I’m hoping to pick this up at my local library as I want to read and I want my husband to get up to date. I read Anne all the time on Age of Autism but my dear husband is behind on what is going on.
Hoping her book will be read far and wide the knowledge is desperately needed.

  50. Donna Powers says:

Way to go Anne Dachel! Thank you for writing the book…for your honesty, your integrity and your courage.
Here’s to the day when the world finally listens to what is really happening.

  51. Heather King says:

I would love to read this! Thanks for the chance!:)

  52. Carolyn says:

An excellent summary of what has transpired within this decades of deception. Acknowledging this now would only increase liability and could lead to criminal charges. However lies never die. This will most likely be one of the biggest American avoidable tragedies ever realized.

Thank you Lone Star and Ann Dachel for not letting this go.
