Aww this is so sweet! My 7yo son is recovering from autism and his 5yr NT lil brother has also been and hopefully will always be his best friend. EI in our home began when lil bro was just 2weeks old. I remember him as a baby sitting (mostly sleeping&eating at first) thru EVERY SINGLE therapy session that took place. He would intently listen then chime in w his lil voice. At 11mo he started trying to join in with us! I truly believe it is why he was speaking in full sentences by 18mo and why he’s always been so advanced and cannot STOP TALKING!!! Lol He doesnt know yet the special role he has played in his brother’s life. And he sure doesn’t know, that even when he takes control of the game they r playing, hides a figurine in the closet or shoves the last marshmellow in his own mouth first, he STILL continues to be his best therapist!!
