NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Already the Best-Selling Special Needs Publication on Amazon Kindle, “Evolution of a Revolution” describes the groundbreaking personal stories of 31 mothers healing their children’s medical and behavioral symptoms of Autism and other developmental disabilities.

The hardcopy and Kindle versions of “Evolution of a Revolution: From Hope to Healing: How Thinking Parents are Recovering their Children and Uncovering the Truth” edited by Helen Conroy and Laura Hirsch, are now available on Amazon. All proceeds from the book’s sale will go to fund treatment grants for children with developmental disabilities.

This book is the second publication from this organization. In 2013, 24 parents banded together and sparked a new kind of revolution with the release of “The Thinking Mom’s Revolution: Autism Beyond the Spectrum”. The Thinking Moms were recently the subjects of a documentary short produced by Leslie Manookian of the much celebrated documentary The Greater Good.

This spring, a second wave of mothers pick up the torch. Evolution of a Revolution builds on the foundation laid by the Thinking Moms and takes it one step further into hope, healing, and even recovery. Thirty-one moms share the devastating effects of Autism and other developmental disorders on their children and families. They share how they’ve risen to these challenges, coped with these struggles and pushed through to recovery. Not only inspirational, these stories serve as a how-to-guide for parents looking for effective interventions for Autism.

“Today Autism is visible at every bus stop, cul-de-sac and shopping mall,” said Helen Conroy co-author of Evolution of a Revolution. “The numbers are staggering and families are buckling under the pressure. This book takes you into the living rooms of 31 families who are pulling their kids out of Autism and into recovery.”

Changing the world, ladies! Thank you very much!

  2. linda says:

is this book geared towards high or low functioning kids?

    • ProfessorTMR says:

Neither. It’s geared toward kids who can be helped by interventions. There are many, many children across the spectrum that that applies to.

      • linda says:

that doesn’t make any sense. Unless you mean.. it’s geared towards kids most likely to overcome their issues then yes.. it must be for high functioning kids.

      • ProfessorTMR says:

        Linda,

No matter how “high” or “low-functioning” a child is, there is potential to get better. That doesn’t mean that all children will recover completely or lose their diagnoses, but it does mean that everybody has the potential for improvement. I personally know a number of people whose children had classic autism, complete with head banging, feces smearing, spinning, non-verbal, etc. who have achieved complete recovery. Please do not set arbitrary limits on any child’s potential.
