When we first launched The Thinking Moms’ Revolution to give hope and a voice to those who needed one, one of the questions we were most frequently asked was “How do I join?” It amazed us that people connected with us so deeply, and it became clear quickly that we needed, eventually, to offer assistance in other ways as well.
We asked our Thinkers what they wanted; what they needed. And we think we have made a good start in that direction. We are proud to announce the formation of Team TMR, a not-for-profit 501c3 organization created by the founders of the Thinking Moms’ Revolution.
In the weeks to come, we will kick off our initial funding campaign. The money that we raise will go directly to help families who need it. In listening to your needs, the grants we make available can be used for biomed, homeopathy, mainstream pediatric GI doctors and neurologists, alternative treatments . . . virtually anything that is required to assist a family in need. The grants will not be restricted based on income, and seasoned veterans of the autism community who have been fighting this fight for years are encouraged to apply along with new families. Details can be found on the website.
Our website will feature a number of resources, including a soon-to-come “Ask the Expert” page that will deliver vital information via video interview about a treatment modality from the practitioner who pioneered it. We will have a Team TMR swag store on Zazzle, where a percentage of the dollar amount of the merchandise purchased will go back to Team TMR for the grant program. We will have a Kid’s Corner, featuring some FUA moments and some really cool projects that siblings are involved in as well.
Lisa Joyce Goes just piloted our first Team TMR meet-up. We plan to roll these groups out slowly across the world.
This organization is the culmination of a tremendous amount of work by many people, including the women we call TMR 2.0, or T2 for short. One of the projects I am most excited about is a fundraiser coming this summer in the form of an eBook, highlighting recovery stories and those on the path to it from T2. Once again, there is hope. Recovery is hard work, but it happens. You can read more about the project and the women behind it on the website.
Our Board of Directors is as follows:
Lisa Joyce Goes, President
Dave Goes, Vice President
Jill Bellestri, Secretary
Cathy Reilly, Treasurer
Susan Judge, Board Member
Sylvia Pimentel, Board Member
Please bookmark our website at www.teamtmr.org, and please go like our FB page at https://www.facebook.com/teamtmr. And please go donate now to help families in need!

We are but a small offshoot of The Thinking Moms’ Revolution, but, we think, a needed and important one.
We look forward to serving your family.

Is this for autism families only?
This is great!! Love that stories of recovered children will be out there for all the world to see! Seems like this e-book is already in production. Too bad. I would have loved for my son’s recovery story to be included as well! The more the better, right? 🙂
What is a Team TMR meet-up and how would someone become involved with it?
