Great job, everyone! The Autism CARES bill IS being held, but we need to make sure that the Senate continues to hold the bill.
Please call the following Senators and:
- Ask them to ensure that the bill is held until it is fixed or let it sunset so we can start fresh.
- Ask them to please adopt APRC’s proposed changes* to make this bill worthy of the unanimous consent of the Senate.

We are hearing rumors that are scaring parents — telling them that if the bill sunsets all the money will be lost. This is just wrong. This bill only “authorizes” money to be spent — it does not “appropriate” a dime. What we are fixing here is a failed policy that has ignored the needs of our community and not resulted in a single new treatment. Please make the calls and keep calling.
