Measles Vaccine Propaganda is Cropping Up Again. Just Shut the F*&% Up, Please.

February 17, 2017

I apologize in advance for the insulting and paternalistic tone of the following post. It is not my usual style for a reason:  I believe that people and their concerns deserve respect and that vaccine safety arguments should stand on their merits alone. But unfortunately, not everyone agrees with me. This piece was written mimicking the style and format of a highly inflammatory opinion piece being shared at the moment from By imitating Elizabeth Broadbent’s abrasive style, I hope to highlight just how offensive it is to dismiss logical and rational concerns in this manner, while at the same time correcting many of the misconceptions contained in the original.

Shut the f*&% up.

No, seriously, shut the f*&% up. Don’t throw your woo at me. I’m heartily sick of people reading a little bit of science, misinterpreting it, and pressuring others to put their children at risk of autism, ADHD, anaphylactic allergies, and a host of autoimmune conditions out of an irrational fear of short-term illnesses that usually do nothing more than keep a kid out of school for a week. Like measles, which was declared “eliminated” in the entire western hemisphere last year when the U.S. had a near-record low of 70 cases, but was generally dismissed as a mild illness that was a virtual rite of passage before the vaccine was developed and we have since discovered actually has long-term beneficial effects for the immune system. As we saw in the oh-so-devastating Disney outbreak of 2015, where 111 people itched for a week and the media went insane, the majority of people who contract measles today are adults who are fully vaccinated or have “unknown” vaccination status, meaning they can’t remember when their last booster shot was (unless, of course, you’re counting the toddlers who get it as a “side effect” of the MMR vaccine). This is because for those who actually get immunity from the shot (not me, I had doses of two different measles vaccines and got measles anyway) the immunity wanes over time. We now have an unprecedented number of adults walking around who are susceptible to this “childhood disease.” And now that measles is not circulating naturally, it is simply not possible to achieve herd immunity in the adult population.

Speaking of the MMR vaccine, it’s supposed to protect against mumps as well, a virus that affects the salivary glands and usually lasts about a week with no residual harm, unless you happen to be a boy going through puberty or older. In which case, if it affects your testicles (<10%), you may have some residual fertility issues. Unfortunately, the mumps vaccine, never particularly effective in the first place, is made by Merck, who is currently being sued by two whistleblowers, virologists from their own laboratories  for various corrupt practices that amount to forcing virologists to abandon their scientific ethics in order to make the mumps vaccine appear much more effective than it really is. The mumps vaccine is also a live virus which can infect others through “shedding,” especially the immunocompromised everyone is so worried about. (I got the mumps vaccine as a youngster; while it made me sick, even worse, I also infected a boy going through puberty who ended up with a very severe case.)

Is it any wonder there is outbreak after outbreak of mumps being reported in highly vaccinated adult populations like the NHL and college campuses where many vaccinated students’ immunity has waned (if they ever had it), many have had recent booster shots, and many immune systems are shot from all-nighters? It’s too bad those students didn’t get it when they were younger; mumps is harder on adults. But on the plus side, the women may now be at reduced risk of ovarian cancer.

You’ve probably heard that the pertussis rate is rising, but I’ll bet you haven’t heard the real reason why. (Pertussis vaccination rates are at close to an all-time high.) Kids used to receive the whole-cell pertussis vaccine. That vaccine was pretty effective at keeping down pertussis infection (we never heard about whooping cough in the 1960s). Unfortunately, the tradeoff for that level of efficacy was the fact that the vaccine was also responsible for some pretty serious damage to many kids’ immune and neurological systems. It caused so much damage, in fact, that manufacturers were taking a beating in courtrooms all over the country, which sent them scurrying to Congress saying that they couldn’t continue making vaccines at all if they were liable for the damages. (Let that sink in for a moment.) U.S. lawmakers said, “Okay,” and the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act was born, absolving vaccine manufacturers of liability for their “unavoidably unsafe” products and creating the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, which is financed by –  get this – you, the vaccine consumer!

What happens when you remove any monetary incentive to make vaccines safe – or at least as safe as possible? The vaccine schedule explodes, and vaccines become the hot new profit sector.

Since 1998, we completed a migration to the acellular pertussis shot for all five doses, which causes less damage than the whole-cell shot, but the tradeoff? Sharply reduced efficacy. In fact, the vaccine doesn’t actually prevent pertussis infection. Wait, what? That’s right. No matter how many of those shots you get (with every pregnancy, seriously?), it doesn’t mean you won’t get an active pertussis infection, though it might mean you won’t know it if you do because the shot can reduce your symptoms.

What happens when you have an infection and don’t know it? You spread it (ever heard of Typhoid Mary?), sometimes to newborn babies who don’t get much protection from their mothers’ milk anymore, which is why 1,970 of the 20,000 cases of pertussis last year were in children under 6 months old. Babies who could die, all because everyone got jabbed with acellular pertussis. You see, people who haven’t been vaccinated actually know they are sick when they have an active pertussis infection and are generally smart enough to stay away from infants and immunocompromised.

Global vaccine market revenues from 2014 to 2020 (in billion U.S. dollars)*

Don’t tell me that aluminum in vaccines is safe because Dr. Paul Offit, who works at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and has made millions off a vaccine he voted to “require” children to get, said it was perfectly fine by deceptively comparing injected aluminum to ingested aluminum, when everyone knows they aren’t even remotely the same thing. Smug about the fact that there is more aluminum in your breastmilk than in the vaccines you give your kids? Don’t be. Breastfed infants (and everyone else, except those with a compromised gut) absorb only 0.3 % of that ingested aluminum, while 100% of injected aluminum is absorbed and is not excreted by the kidneys like ingested aluminum may be (if your detox processes work well). Macrophages take up the injected aluminum nanoparticles and carry them into your brain where they sneak right past the blood-brain barrier. But the high levels of aluminum in your breastmilk aren’t off the hook either because high levels of aluminum in drinking water have been repeatedly associated with Alzheimer’s. There’s also evidence that aluminum can raise IL-6 levels in the brain, which causes – maybe you saw this coming – autism in laboratory animals. And don’t get me started on allergies and autoimmunity.

Don’t say that giving many vaccines at once is safe because the vaccines we give today have less antigen than vaccines given thirty years ago, when it’s obvious to anyone with a brain that antigen content is only one possible source of vaccine damage. In fact, the main reason antigen levels have dropped so much is that more and more vaccines are using aluminum adjuvants to jack up the immune response. The very same aluminum that is, yes, associated with the neurological and immunological devastation mentioned in the previous paragraph. Reassuring folks with overall antigen levels also deceptively hides the fact that no one has tested the current vaccine schedule for safety. Everyone knows that when you take multiple medications you should be aware of possible cross-reactions and timing of dosage can be very important, yet for some reason no one thinks it’s a good idea to actually test the safety of combining the powerful immune modulators we’re injecting into vulnerable infants?

And don’t hide behind the banner of herd immunity. You make a medical decision for your child, a decision you think is best for them. That’s your right as a parent. But that decision doesn’t give you the right to push your decision onto other parents because you’ve decided that you’re more afraid of a fever and a rash than you are of systemic immunological and neurological dysfunction that can last a lifetime – or shorten it. You also don’t get to bang the herd-immunity drum when advocating for vaccines for tetanus, polio, diphtheria, pertussis, meningococcal disease, or hepatitis B in early childhood because my kids’ vaccination cannot protect your kids from those diseases. If your kid had a choice, knowing what the likely consequences of getting jabbed were, he probably wouldn’t get jabbed at all, but he sure as hell wouldn’t follow the CDC schedule. You may not understand that your free choice is based on your assessment of the risks vs. benefits of vaccination, an assessment (a.k.a opinion) that is not necessarily applicable to anyone else’s child, much less everyone else’s.

Don’t tell me mass vaccination campaigns eradicated polio or smallpox. Smallpox was finally eradicated using a quarantine and ring vaccination strategy after mass vaccination was abandoned. Polio? Well, changing the definition right after the vaccine was introduced certainly made a difference in the number of recorded cases of paralytic polio. And now that polio has been “eliminated” in India, there are just as many people being paralyzed as there were before the mass vaccination campaign.  Better sanitation reduced mortality rates for the various diseases long before their vaccines were introduced, and for diseases with an oral-fecal route of infection, like polio, cholera, and hepatitis A, it also reduced incidence. And the introduction of antibiotics means that serious bacterial infections like pertussis and diphtheria are far less lethal than they used to be.

So just shut the f*&% up. Just do it. Yes, you might be uncomfortable knowing that the odds that your child will encounter certain infections, like measles, could increase slightly, but your kids’ vaccines should protect them, no? And if it just so happens that they don’t, yes, you’ll worry about side effects, but it’s almost 100% likely your kids will experience nothing but a fever and/or rash. It’s also likely the infection would occur when your child is older and their immune and neurological systems are more fully developed (and less susceptible to disruption) than they would be if they got the same fever and rash as a response to the vaccine at 12 or 15 months.

You have a solemn responsibility to your child and to your community, which is currently going broke dealing with the consequences of all the neurological and immunological damage we are doing to our young children. Don’t mess it up. Educate before you vaccinate.

  1. Hans Scholl says:

On Friday, March 31, 2017, concerned individuals from across America will join with health care professionals in Washington D.C. to defend parental rights and civil liberties, including freedom of thought, speech and conscience. We are uniting to call out the corporatized mainstream media for manufacturing “fake news” that distorts the truth about environmental toxins, unsafe food and vaccine risks, which endangers our right to know and freedom to choose how we protect our health.

We are Taking a Stand for Truth and Freedom in Washington D.C.

Although we are determined opponents I appreciate your reply .
Would you be able to offer me a link for where you got your information ?
I am very interested in what Stefan Lanka is saying .
I heard a podcast of his and he was not convincing at all but that isn’t the end of it .
Your Earth\Sun analogy is a little suspect – no ?

In the meantime , a little present for your consideration :

    • Jesus baby says:

This page has a lot of the documents related to the case and the challenge:

A lot is in German but there’s enough translated as in Lanka’s initial challenge:

“The reward will be paid, if a scientific publication is presented, in which the existence of the measles virus is not only asserted, but also proven and in which, among other things, the diameter of measles virus is determined.

The prize money will not be paid if the diameter of the measles virus is determined only with reference to models or drawings…”

I don’t know what “other things” means, but I imagine they make collecting the reward even more difficult.

sorry, wrong vid. above (but still helpful!)

    This should be it:

    Hi Professor TMR,

I don’t see an email contact info so am reaching out by comment here. Not sure if you are familiar with the awesome work of Darren Schmidt. When I was listening to this presentation on RESTORE, I thought of this website. Wanted to pass on just in case you weren’t already aware of this product. You can hone in at 14 min where he talks about blood brain barrier/austism.

    All best,

  8. Terri says:

Prof, you are brillant and I love your never-back-down approach that is supported with solid research. We need more people like you. The parody is perfection. I was recently on Pan’s FB page to drop my two cents in a few places and, as expected, it didn’t take the shills long to circle before trying to go in for the kill. The level of disdain was truly something to behold. Rather than focus just on vaccinations I focused on having honest debate without resorting to bully tactics and intimidation. Such things are NEVER part of true debate, and so when one resorts to them you know it’s not debate at all but bullying. Yes, the tide will turn and we all must support each other, keep the debate based on truth not bullying, and never back down.

    • ProfessorTMR says:

YES! If you want to get at TRUTH, ridicule should have no part of the discussion. Been discussing this on Twitter. A study decided that ridicule was an “effective” method for getting people to change their behavior. Sure, it’s an “effective” method, but that has exactly ZERO bearing on the validity of anyone’s position. Zero.

  9. runthegamut says:

Thank you for demonstrating how ineffective that writing style it. I’m sick of seeing it from those who want to bully with their “rightness”.

Have you seen this from the BMJ? So encouraging that there are others out there wanting to move past the binary pr0-/anti- arguments and have an actual discussion.

    • ProfessorTMR says:

Yes! Such a breath of fresh air! Respect from an unlikely place. It reminded me of Dr. Bernardine Healy, may she rest in peace. She was the ex-head of the NIH and SO reasonable and logical AND respectful of parents and their concerns.

  10. David Eirescott says:

Don’t feel bad at all for being angry with the dangerous establishment of barbaric, mad-scientists like Gorski.

I was “banned” from Gorski’s propaganda site for injecting my thoughts about his very recent attack on Robert F Kennedy Jr.

It would be great if some of the well informed here could take a quick visit to that site/report and provide some real science. I realize it’s virtually futile in that it’s a small group of shills commenting there.

I’m not sure why I was banned; the worst thing I said is that Gorski was like Mengele because “Mengele was a notorious member of a team of doctors responsible for the selection of victims for performing deadly human experiments.”

    • ProfessorTMR says:

I’m sorry, David. We have a policy of NOT linking to his site for the very reason that it does amount to unhinged propaganda. We don’t want to be responsible for increasing traffic to his site. The only reason we linked to the Scary Mommy piece was to provide context for the refutation. A lot of moms are going to that site for parenting advice, and it seemed important for the sake of children’s lives to counteract the propaganda.

    • Tamster says:

Hahaha… yes I was on that site for awhile a few months back and said the same thing! A little touchy, aren’t they? Happy to dish it but can’t take it!

    • Hans Scholl says:

Don’t bother fighting Gorski , He is a complete nobody .No-one to worry about
Don’t go to his site at all – or any of the others websites of that ilk. Their visitor count is miserably low and pathetic , lets keep it that way .
Go direct to the lawmakers , the politicians , the rich and powerful.
Go to the CEOs of Pharma Harma directly (make them worry).
Go to the Top , attack the lamestream media for their fake news (eg BBC).
Challenge Offit face to face on camera , challenge his wife and family , lets bring it on home to these people for the carnage they have wreaked.
Protest outside of the government building, many of the politicians already know the truth of it , you know , I am certain they do .
Challenge the Gates , Kissingers , RocketFellows ,Rothschild, face to face .
Ask them all to take their own vaccines on camera (annual flu vax).
Challenge the ordinary Doctors , downface them for their ignorance.
We number too many for them now , the tipping point is close !

  11. Tamster says:

Where did those statistics of 135k come from for measles deaths worldwide, the CDC? Laughable! I have a lovely photo from a children’s book called Babar (you the elephant) and a baby elephant happens to get measles and they basically just say, well ‘he’ll need to have a quiet few days at home’ and then there was The Brady Bunch… again a very non-reactive response from Mrs Brady, just an empathetic smile. Where was all the hysteria about deaths!??? Oh that’s right… all created by the vaccine manufacturers for marketing purposes! Now we have a new form of Atypical measles which mainly adult get when their Measles vaccine has worn off which is far more dangerous than the original childhood Measles ever was. Just like older people now get more Shingles than ever before because they are not exposed to children running around with the chicken pox to boost their immunity. That’s what happens when human mess with nature… we create alternate monsters and now the benefits are worse than the original risk ever was!

    • ProfessorTMR says:

The number is from the WHO Measles CAN be deadly to undernourished people/children. It can even be deadly for a very small minority of well-nourished children, but so can the measles vaccine.

And, yes, widespread vaccination campaigns have resulted in some non-beneficial unintended consequences, the worst being the fact that approximately half of our children are living with chronic illness, and the number grows as those children get older.

      • JeffCraig says:

… and there’s a billion dollar bribery fund (sorry, secret sources – haha) used
to pay the parents or family or guardian of someone disabled or murdered by a vacc&&&& — a very big slush fund used to pay them off , on condition they stay quiet (a gag order).
Also another part of the shush fund (haha) pays up to (and more) $3000.00 per month to parents or guardians(keepers?) of disabled by vacc&&&& to only go along with “APPROVED” protocol every moth (sic) , and NOT TO SEEK HELP(no remedies permitted – if they give any treatments to the dependent that results in a cure, they lose the money.).

Fiction? No. Far far worse…… to see a fraction of the trouble, look up , simply, FDA online, with key words of your chosing.
(‘they’ are NOT on your side, and if you oppose them, well, they have unlimited gov and corporate resources…)

Extreme? Yes, this is the worst view of what is going on. Not many people see the dark side clearly , and no one sees more than a few percent of it. Too much money behind it.

HOPE? For a few only. Whether loud or quiet, strong or weak, those people who seek the TRUTH, (even if they never find it, but have peace and can rest knowing they did what is right).

GOLIATHS? Yes, we are opposed by gigantic financial interests, politic, medical, educational, social, at all levels – local up thru fed and higher…..
A daily battle. David vs MANY goliath…..

We have help, though. The final authority. Provides all that is needed where we are. (including wisdom and strength to endure, to survive day after day, and even more: to help one another ! )

      • Pavel says:

Oh, and the WHO somehow KNOWS those numbers? They do not, like, ASSUME them? Or make them up entirely?

        Here, have a read:

  12. A Real Scientist says:

Measles killed 135,000 children last year worldwide. But none in the Western Hemisphere – why? BECAUSE OF THE VACCINE. It didn’t kill people because it was nearly eradicated, duh.

If you completely stopped the vaccine today, in a decade it would be back in force around the world. That’s just how an unchecked virus works.

Calling a disease that kills over 100,000 kids a year a “mild right of passage” is the most ignorant and disgusting thing I have read in a while.

    • ProfessorTMR says:

Sorry, “Real,” but measles does not have the same effect on a population that is well-nourished with clean water and sanitation. It just does’t. It may have killed 135,000 children last year, but those are children who needed nutritious food and clean water even MORE than they need vaccines. You know why? Because measles is by no means the only thing that threatens lives of children in impoverished countries. They would be better equipped to face ANYTHING if they had good food and clean water as we have seen in OUR country when all infectious disease mortality dropped like a hot rock after we made huge sanitation advances.

Meanwhile in industrialized countries measles IS a mild rite of passage, whether you care to acknowledge it or not. In the year BEFORE the first (ineffective) vaccine was licensed there were fewer than 400 children who died from measles. That’s less than half the number of children who drown every year, yet no one calls for the end of swimming pools or baths. If you were indeed a “Real Scientist” you would understand that basing your child’s health decisions on conditions in a country with radically different conditions makes no sense whatsoever. Malaria kills 3000 children EVERY DAY. Does that mean that if a malaria vaccine were available, MY child should receive one despite the fact that my child is unlikely to EVER encounter malaria? No. The benefits cannot possibly outweigh the risk, even if you or someone else call that risk “minimal.”

      • Leslie says:

Actually there was less than 400 children who died from measles. CDC pinkbook shows that pre-vaccine there were 400+ TOTAL deaths (adults & children).

There is also this tidbit from pro-vaccine Dr Greg Poland:

“Multiple studies demonstrate that 2–10% of those immunized with two doses of measles vaccine fail to develop protective antibody levels, and that immunity can wane over time and result in infection (so-called secondary vaccine failure) when the individual is exposed to measles. For example, during the 1989–1991 U.S. measles outbreaks 20–40% of the individuals affected had been previously immunized with one to two doses of vaccine. In an October 2011 outbreak in Canada, over 50% of the 98 individuals had received two doses of measles vaccine. The Table shows that this phenomenon continues to play a role in measles outbreaks. Thus, measles outbreaks also occur even among highly vaccinated populations because of primary and secondary vaccine failure, which results in gradually larger pools of susceptible persons and outbreaks once measles is introduced. This leads to a paradoxical situation whereby measles in highly immunized societies occurs primarily among those previously immunized.”

      • ProfessorTMR says:

I once looked up the exact numbers in 1962 (I don’t recommend it. It wasn’t fun.) The majority were children and it was approximately 380 something for children and a total of 408 deaths I believe.

        Great quote. Explains it well.

    • Rene says:

Measles worldwide isn’t killing children, poor public health infrastructure, lack of nutrition, political instability, and access to supportive care are. Real scientists know this, measles IN THE US is a mild childhood illness, non fatel. Get a hold of yourself.

    • Pavel says:

Can you support that with facts?
      AFTER you read this?

    • Hans Scholl says:

Can you confirm if the measles virus has ever actually been isolated ?
And if its true that it never has , then what exactly is the measles vaccine .
I want proof please Mr REAL Scientist ?

      • Jesus baby says:

Can you confirm if the measles virus has ever actually been isolated ?

Sure, a long, long time ago.
We culture it differently these days, of course. Shoot, we can identify or sequence its RNA.

      • Hans Scholl says:

Jesus Baby , good .Glad to hear .

100,000 Euros surely going your way then courtesy of Stefan Lanka . In fact maybe I can collect it with this cast iron proof !

      • Jesus baby says:

Unfortunately, no. Lanka smartly worded his challenge so that a single paper had to a.) prove the measles virus exists, and b.) give the diameter of the virus. Apparently no single paper meets both criteria, which he must have known.
If someone else issued a challenge that a single paper prove a.) the earth orbits the sun, and b.) gives the diameter of the earth at the equator, and no one could collect the reward, would that prove the earth does not orbit the sun? I would say no.

  13. SEZ says:

Thank you so much for writing this. After the birth of my third child, I finally started researching vaccinations. I wish I would have started earlier but I believed people like the ones this article is directed towards. I’m not anti vaccination I’m more for each parent making an informed decision for their own child. In our case, we chose long term breastfeeding and no vaccines til 2 then only one at a time+ no mmr for us. I wish more families knew that vaccines are not mandatory and the CDC schedule is not written in stone. Again thank you for this article!

    • Mama Bear says:

Unfortunately, it is law in some states if you want to educate your child publicly.

      • Jennifer says:

Only in 3 states – MS, WV, and CA. All others have exemptions.

      • David Eirescott says:

Yes; contrary to what the lying Senator “Dr” Pan stated over and over again.

Watch parts of this long SB277 Assembly video and note the parts described below:

At 1:33 Dr. Pan invited families whose doctors will not write exemptions based on sibling reactions to have their physician send a letter to Dr. Pan’s office if they feel there is some pressure or other influence aside from their professional judgment at play. He also says that the Medical Board has never investigated or removed the license of a physician for giving a medical exemption.

At 2:06 Pan says for doctors to use their professional judgment– subject to review by the Medical Board, which he stresses repeatedly has never investigated or removed the license of a physician who writes medical exemptions. He says that the department of health does not review exemptions, which we already know is a lie. He stresses that the CDC contraindications to vaccination are only guidelines, and there is not a requirement that a doctor apply only the CDC guidelines.

At 2:14 Dr. Jay Gordon makes it clear that doctors would be way out of line from the CDC’s guidelines if they wrote these exemptions under the protection of SB 277.

At 2:36 an Assemblyperson asks if there have been any physicians in California disciplined or even investigated for providing a medical exemption?

Jennifer Simoes, the Medical Board’s Chief of Legislation responds, “To my knowledge, no.”

At 3:03 Pan says, “There is no cloud over these physicians. There is no legal barrier to writing medical exemptions. They look to their own expertise and knowledge.”

At 3:07, right at the end, before going to public comment, Ms. Simoes from the Medical Board says that, “A doctor would use their clinical judgment. We don’t track medical exemptions, we would have to receive a complaint.”

      • SEZ says:

Very true I know of three states that have limited or no exemptions (Mississippi, West Virginia and now California) but for those parents in other states it’s worth exploring every option to delay or decline vaccination. Dr. Sears and Dr. Elizabeth Mumper both provide a somewhat safer option towards vaccination. Also Dr. Franz in Florida has been a wonderful resource for families seeking a safer schedule for their children. I just encourage every parent to seek all the information they can and not be bullied by these scare tactics the media or doctors use. Also sometimes school systems don’t require every shot on the CDC’s current list.

readily , without any hesitation, admitted (confessed? no- because they had no remorse) – they plainly admitted they thought and believe it is OKAY TO TAKE THE MONEY, the MOUNTAINS OF MONEY, lying to people,
instead of the thousands of years of knowledge and experience STAYING HEALTHY
in ways determined BEFORE the drug lords came along.

I’m almost ashamed I ever practiced pharmacy, but I truly had NEVER HEARD of the wickedness they do every day – and it took years , little by little, to see how horrendous their deceptions are and how many deaths and suffering families they CAUSE…..
    that’s my life….
by the grace of GOD I escaped the lies of pharmacy.

What a well-done parody of that writer’s offensively harsh style.

Over the years I’ve felt sickened by the rabid hostility aimed at vaccine injury victims and their families. There’s an animalistic pack mentality about the abuse, a piling on, as if the seemingly safely vaccinated want to cast the sick out of their herd. No reasoning, no compassion. Simply rejection.

But then again, that’s part of what the CDC and Pharma count on. Ignorant herd mentality. I thought we’d evolved as a species.
