“Once more he stept into the street
And to his lips again
Laid his long pipe of smooth straight cane;
And ere he blew three notes (such sweet
Soft notes as yet musician’s cunning
Never gave the enraptured air)
There was a rustling that seemed like a bustling
Of merry crowds justling at pitching and hustling,
Small feet were pattering, wooden shoes clattering,
Little hands clapping, and little tongues chattering,
And, like fowls in a farm-yard when barley is scattering,
Out came the children running.
All the little boys and girls,
With rosy cheeks and flaxen curls,
And sparkling eyes and teeth like pearls,
Tripping and skipping, ran merrily after
The wonderful music with shouting and laughter.”
~Excerpt from The Pied Piper of Hamelin by Robert Browning
When I look at pictures of Nick at 8 months old, happy, healthy, and then at 18 months old suddenly vacant, sickly, and sad . . . the word “stolen” flashes through my mind.
He was taken from me right under my nose. In fact I was advised to GIVE him much of what stole him away from me; vaccines, antibiotics, anesthesia. I was encouraged to participate in what would ultimately take my child from me.
I’ve spent the past eight years bargaining with his kidnappers, trying desperately to bring him home. Yes, he’s sitting next to me while I type this, and, yes, these days he is present and ‘with us’ emotionally 95% of the time. But what of his future has been stolen? What of his future health? What about the devastating trauma we have endured? What if I can’t really get him back?
The Piper didn’t just take Nick. He’s taking a generation of children while their parents stand idly by.
Who is the Piper?
The Pied Piper, in this era, is a toxic slew of Round-Up, vaccines, antibiotics, pharmaceuticals, GMOs, chemicals and pollutants, fluoride, heavy metals, and stealth, lab-created bacteria and viruses.
The Pied Piper is comprised of the biggest chemical and pharmaceutical companies who create, market and sell their poorly safety-tested products in the name of a healthier life.
The Pied Piper is fortified by a symbiotic relationship with the anemic regulatory agencies meant to be keeping them in check.
The government pays the Piper every day, just not in a way that serves the welfare of its citizens.
Where did the Piper take our children?
They’ve been delivered into a world of sickness: asthma, allergies, diabetes, autism, ADHD, apraxia, sensory processing disorder, cancer, OCD, ODD and learning disabilities.
They can’t think straight, can’t sit still, can’t sleep, can’t tolerate their food, can’t manage in a noisy classroom, can’t regulate their emotions - some can’t even make it through one day without hurting themselves or having a seizure.
We thought we’d traded crop weevils, childhood illnesses, dirt and inconvenience for corn crops bred with innate pesticides, the promise of childhoods free of chickenpox and measles, blinding white smiles and bleached kitchen counters. What we’ve actually ended up with is the sickest generation of children to come down the pike.
1-5 American children has a mental health disorder.
54% of American children suffer from chronic illness.
1-68 American children have autism.
Who will pay the Piper?
Parents search day and night for their kids. They research, leaving no stone unturned. They travel in online search parties of Facebook groups, holding lanterns of hope against the dark culture of denial.
“Autism is a gift.”
“There are no biomedical markers for autism.”
“There are no toxic ingredients in vaccines.”
“Thanks to Monsanto we are able to feed the famine in Africa.”
This is an expensive, carefully crafted and pharmaceutically funded brainwashing campaign to throw parents off the scent.
Parents rail at the government, “Do something!”
Parents plead to be heard, to be listened to, “Let not one more child be damaged!”
And the federal response to the poisoning of a generation of children is mind-numbing SILENCE.
The Piper is waiting to be paid. Until we face, as a population, the fact that our culture of convenience, greed, and ignorance is maiming our children and make the fundamental — and huge — shifts necessary to undo this damage, we won’t get this country’s children back, and more will continue to be hurt every day. For some it is already too late.
What does paying the Piper mean?
If Monsanto is the Piper, I’m not giving them another effing thing! Haven’t they taken enough?
At first I thought ‘paying the piper’ meant that thoughtful government officials, listening to parents input and the damning science, would put unbiased research and safer regulation of industry into place and award justice for our stolen children.
I’ve given up on that.
What do I see?
I see parents, one by one, turning this around with every vaccine they decline, every carefully researched medical decision they make, every bag of groceries they haul into the house. They are looking at our sick children, listening to their instincts and voting with their wallets.
At some point, industry will follow the parent market. In the meantime, we hear an uptick in the desperate, aggressive language in the media about things like “mandating vaccines” or “gluten intolerance is a myth” all meant to herd parents back in line.
Parents are taking the Piper on themselves. Some are successfully bringing their children home. Some, like me, have no choice but to keep searching and trying.
The Piper never wanted our kids. The Piper just wanted to get paid. It was never about the children. It has always only been about the money.

What a powerful statement. I am with you, my grandson, his parents and rest of the world that is suffering and hoping at the same time.
Excellent Mama Mac! It’s all about the money. Not about the welfare of our children.
Thank you for your wise words of wisdom as always.
As we travel the long freeway of life, please let the perpetrators be snuffed out with exhaust. Thank you Mama Mac. Maurine
Brilliant Mama Mac!!! Story of my grandson too! Thank you for carrying the lantern for us! x
In our household, we vote with our money. We do not buy crap filled with toxins. We spend our money elsewhere. Starve the beast!
Rosebud, I love this!!!!Purest form of activism.
Oh Wow. This is awesome Mama Mac! Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! It is so empowering to know that I am not alone in this journey. I just hope more people wake up to what is going on. It is astounding to me how many “sheeple” simply believe what they are told by their doctors, the media, and the government.
love your words…I am still searching after a decade. My child is much better but still lost…along with his childhood and his neurotypical sister’s childhood..she just wants her brother. They have endured devastating illness TWICE.I have lost a decade of my life searching,a career,an income and so much more.Someone has to compensate us families and help us with future costs as most of us have used all our savings and investments and will have nothing for retirement and no where for our adult children
to go.It’s like a tsunami is coming and nobody is doing anything except some of us parents….that is where the hope lies : )
As Gma Goes says…
they went missing and there was NO AMBER ALERT…
Thank you for speaking your truth! I will be right there with you with my lantern too.
Thank you Baby Food Steps. Strength in numbers, the more light on this subject the better!
“At some point industry will follow the parent market.”
YES!
Wow! Mama Mac. You nailed it! This goes so well with my post today. No one can turn a blind eye to this!!!
Powerful testimony and I agree wholeheartedly!
